after hesitating for such a long time, i stepped onto my 5-day-trip tp south-east region of Poland.!!!the farthest city, Zamosc, is 416km away! also, the first time travelling by bus!! on sunday, 1 July, departing from Lodz at 12:20pm, the bus took me to Radom city which is my first stop of my journey. due to the possiblly long hours(10hr) to Lublin,i decided to drop by Radom city and stay overnight here. after 3 hours(252km), i arrived in Radom, which is a city with "little magnificant stuff" and much poorer than other cities, however, it is quite a peaceful and quiet town. and i had a super big pizza and nice rest here. like all other typical polish cities, churches, a main street and a city hall and several parks comprise this city. after staying in a 3-star hotel(110zlt) overnight, i continued to head for Lublin at 09:40am by PKS bus(18 zlt). gonna get close to the eastest part soon!!..around 2 hours later~ i got out of the bus by a huge flea market. The Zamek(the landmark of Lublin),a neo Gothic robot-face-like castle,is nearby. then i knew that would be the old town area. across a hustling street, the entrance of old town is this lovely Zamek and a white stone lion standing by. i do like this cute Zamek. climbing a little bit up to the Rynek(market )square, i found a quite nice hostel, a teacher dorm(only 30 zlt a night, 4 beds). at that time,i thought Lublin has its old town area only, but i found that after the Krakow gate, there is an extended long street full of cafes and bars. in all, Lublin is such a middle-size and quite crowded city. when most pepole refer to Lublin, first thing comes to mind is that Lublin is the first communist city during Russian invasion. the second is that the famous Lublion Union, uniting Poland and Lithuania, was signed in Lublin in 1569. so, Lublin is quite of historical importance! and Russian culure could be easily seen here. also, Jewish culture is used to be thriving here. but it also became one of the Geto(the place where Jewish live before they were sent to concentration camp), for example, the Zamek is used to be a prison of 100,000 people before they were being deported to death camp!then, about this Zamek, it is not so fun anymore! in the morning,3 July, i wanna go inside the Zamek to see the famous "paw OF devil", but i missed it because of renewal of the building. anyway,i continued to next stop: Zamosc, which is quite close the border of Ukraine!! after getting on the minibus(which i found for a long time in the flea market.)at 11:00am,3 July, i was "thrown out" by the unknown roadside of Zamosc. at that moment, i had no idea where it is becasue it seems it was a barren wasteland only!!! 5-day-trip to Radom, Lublin, Zamość, Kielce: Zamek: the landmark of Lublin("機器人臉"城堡:Lublin的地標): the Krakow Gate the symbol of Lublin: Goat Zamość: the pink town hall of Zamość(有草莓奶昔色彩的Zamość市政廳) the Rynek of Zamość: the UFO-look bus station of Kielce: the clean and neat ul.
